This statement made by a Chinese delegate has something which both amuses and bothers me. Firstly, well done Chinese delegate. This is yet another reminder of the fact that US should be asked to justify its support for Israel sooner rather than later. You cannot reach for fair accountability if the most obvious acts of state terrorism are overlooked.
Secondly, what sense does it make for the US to ask China about its support for their frontline ally in the war against terrorism? Does it bother the US that China supports Americas ally?
And lastly, Pakistan is like Israel? Ouch! If thats how supporting us is being justified than we really need to do something about our image (as if we havent had enough reminders of this fact).
The message floated by the Chinese delegate is also an indication of how the Chinese see us. They want the world to look at us as though we are thier protectorate.
