The Sindh Rangers recovered huge cache of weapons and ammunition over information provided by under-custody culprits belonging to a militant wing of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Friday.
Spokesman of the Sindh Rangers said that paramilitary troops over information provided by the under-custody culprits of MQM’s military wing conducted operation in Sarjani Town of Karachi.
During the operation a huge cache of arms including 11 SMGs, one TT Pistol, a LMG, one 7MM Rifle, three 30 bore, two 32 bore pistols, 12,817 rounds of different bores, explosives and a telescope buried underground were recovered by the Rangers.
The spokesman said that the recovered arms and ammunition was to be used in target killings and other crimes in the city but timely action by the paramilitary force foiled the bid preventing several innocent lives and property losses.
