Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) reported on Saturday that Islamabad and Rawalpindi experienced thunderstorm as the wind recorded 93 kilometre/hour.
The weather turned pleasant as rainfall lashed in isolated parts of the Punjab.
Rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds were witnessed in Upper Punjab (Sargodha, Gujrat, Sheikhupura and Attock and Faisalabad divisions).
Director General PMD Dr Ghulam Rasool said that Sindh will be the centre of rains whereas Punjab will observe 40 percent more rains.
According to Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds are expected at isolated places of Khyber PakhtunKhuwa (KP), Islamabad, Upper Punjab (Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Sargodha, Lahore and Faisalabad divisions), Southern Punjab (Multan, D.G khan, Bahawalpur divisions) and northeast Balochistan in next 48 hours.
Furthermore, rain and thunderstorms with gusty winds are also expected in FATA, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.
