A First Information Report (FIR) against Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain and 10 other leaders of the party has been registered for allegedly threatening the officials of intelligence agencies during speeches conducted within the vicinity of Brigade police station on Saturday.
The FIR has been registered on behalf of the government whereas articles related to treason and counter-terrorism have also been included in it along with one article catering to the Telegraphic Act.
MQM chief Altaf Hussain along with party leaders, including Dr Farooq Sattar, Rauf Siddiqui, Wasim Akhtar, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Kanwar Naveed Jamil and others have been named in the case.
