Police claimed to have arrested dacoit Sami Pitras and another member of his gang who were involved in lifting motor cycles in Lahore on Tuesday.
Police said in a statement that Sami Pitras was head of a gang and was wanted to police in various cases of motor cycle lifting. Superintendent of Cantt police set up a special team under the supervision of SHO Factory Area police station Hammad Akhtar to arrest the gang.
According to the statement, police on Wednesday raided a graveyard near Walton Road on a tip-off, and arrested Sami Pitras and Zahid alias Babli.
Police claimed to have recovered three motorcycles, two pistols and 10 bullets from the possession of the gang while the gang members have been handed over to the CIA for further interrogation.
