Foundation of ‘new Pakistan’ laid under PM Khan’s leadership: CM

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar said on Friday that foundation of a “new Pakistan” had been laid under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.

“The gap between the poor and the rich will be bridged in new Pakistan and the premier’s dream of change will be materialised with the establishment of a society based on socio-economic justice as well as equality,” the chief minister said while talking to different delegations that called on him.

He reiterated that expectations of the general public would be fulfilled by improving the governance structure under the leadership of PM Khan and the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government had taken solid steps for public welfare in a short span of time because they believed in actions and not false promises.

“Masses will be witness to our practical steps.”

Resources, he said, were kept limited to certain areas in the past and former rulers ignored the problems of remote areas. “As a result of it, these areas succumbed to steep deprivations and backwardness,” he added.

The chief minister assured the delegates that the PTI government would provide necessary facilities to people belonging to remote areas, adding that he was personally supervising the development agenda of the province.

“No one will be allowed to create hurdles in the journey of development and prosperity and the government sides with the feeble and disfranchised segments of the society.”

It is satisfying, Buzdar said, that the work done by the incumbent government within the first 100 days was not done by the past governments in any of their tenures.
