Rangers kill two Lyari gang war men in encounter

As many as two terrorists of Lyari gang war were killed during an intelligence driven raid conducted by Sindh Rangers in Tharu Lane, Lyari, on Wednesday.

According to Rangers spokesperson, the terrorists identified as Younas alias Obama, and Muhammed Farooq alias Farooqa were affiliated with Lyari gang war, Uzair Baloch Group.

“When the paramilitary force reached the Tharu Lane to arrest the culprits, they started firing at the personnel in a bit to escape. The Rangers retaliated and Lyari gangsters were killed in an exchange of fire. A Rangers soldier also received minor injuries and he was immediately rushed to a hospital,” the spokesperson added.

The terrorists were involved in multiple targeted killings, extortion and firing and grenade attacks on policemen. The paramilitary force recovered ammunition from the possession of gangsters. The bodies were shifted to Civil Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

TWO KILLED, 11 HURT IN ROAD ACCIDENTS

At least two people died and 11 others injured in separate road accident in different localities of the metropolis city on Wednesday.

According to Rescue sources, the first accident took place near Steel Town in Karachi where a speeding car hit an ambulance. One person died on the spot while six others were wounded. Meanwhile, a man was killed and five others inured seriously when a speeding passenger bus overturned near Nala Bus Stop in New Karachi. The bodies and injured of both accidents were shifted to different hospitals of respective areas where condition of some wounded was stated to be critical.

MAN COMMITS SUICIDE

A man committed suicide on Wednesday in the metropolis.

According to rescue sources, one Muhammad Mustafa, 44, son of Abdul Malik, committed suicide due to some domestic problems by hanging himself with a fan in his home situated in Sector 7-A, Surjani Town, within limits of Surjani Town police station. The body was shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.
