A five-member medical board comprising Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) doctors on Thursday decided to conduct different tests of former petroleum minister Dr Asim Hussain.
Dr Asim was admitted to the JPMC on Wednesday after the medical board headed by eminent psychiatrist Dr Syed Haroon Ahmed constituted as per directives of the accountability court on Jan 18 recommended treatment for his psychological ailments.
The board comprising professors from psychology, neurology and other related fields held a meeting on Thursday and decided to conduct tests pertaining to psychological health of the accused.
Dr Asim, a close aide of former president Asif Ali Zaradri, has been facing charges of terror financing, sheltering terrorists, corruption and money laundering cases in different courts.
My comments are deleted ! Couple of days ago, a medical report issued by the same hospital cleared him of any ailment and was submitted in the court. Admitting Dr Asim in the hospital was a demand of PPP and his family too. What if the Medical Board recommends to send Dr Asim abroad for treatment ? Mr 10%'s game is paying off.
