Two die, four hurt in road accidents

As many as two men were killed and four others wounded in different road mishaps in the metropolis on Saturday.

According to rescue sources, a traffic accident occurred on the ICI Bridge in Keamari area when a heavy truck driver lost control after being hit by another vehicle. Resultantly, a man died on the spot while three others suffered injuries.

The deceased was identified as Muhammad Wahid, aged around 35, son of Alimullah, while the injured included Sajad, 25, son of Abdul Rahid, Zeeshan, 34 and one unidentified person. The body and injured were shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK).

In another traffic accident, an unidentified man was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him near Port Qasim. The body was shifted to a nearby hospital for medico-legal formalities. Similarly, a youth, Khalid, 21, son of Sultan, resident of Nazimabad, was injured when a speeding vehicle hit him near Tariq Road. He was taken to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.
