211 new development projects added in current fiscal year

As many as 211 new development projects have been included in the current financial year’s federal public sector development programme (PSDP) to achieve the targeted GDP growth, state media reported on Sunday.

Reports quoting sources in the ministry of planning and development said that 241 billion rupees had been allocated for these projects against the estimated cost of 1,675 billion rupees.

In addition 3.4 billion rupees have been allocated for 26 new projects for the development and promotion of agriculture sector. These include cluster development based agriculture transformation plan, milk and meat supply chain improvement and support to livestock production, construction of small dams and Makhi Farash link canal project for water supply to Thar Coal.
