The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to hold by-elections in PP-89 (Toba Tek Singh) on 6 January 2016 and issued schedule.
According to spokesman of ECP, the nomination papers will be filed on 1 and 2 December whereas the verification process will be completed on 9 Dec.
The candidates can file their appeals to the tribunals against the decisions of the returning officers till 12 December and tribunals would decide on their appeals till 15 Dec, he said.
The candidates can withdraw their nomination papers until 17 Dec and on the next day the final list of candidates will be published, he added.
It may be mentioned here that the seat was vacated due to the death of Makhdoom Syed Ali Raza Shah.
