The Board Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Rawalpindi has failed to pay outstanding dues of teachers, who performed duties during annual and supplementary examinations.
According to the teachers, though the board has announced matric and intermediate annual and supplementary results, their dues were yet to be paid despite several reminders.
Besides the teachers, invigilators, assistants and security staff have also not been paid their outstanding dues, which have discouraged them. The teachers and the assistants said that they will not perform examination duties in the future if payments were not made immediately.
When contacted, a senior board official said that the bills have been finalized and the outstanding dues will be paid soon.
