Rain disrupts flight schedule at Islamabad airport

Intermittent rain in the twin cities adversely disrupted the flights schedule at Islamabad Airport on Sunday.

According to details, heavy rain followed by thunderstorm and hailstorm which started on Saturday night lashed the twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Several domestic and international flights at Benazir Bhutto International Airport, Islamabad were either delayed or cancelled to heavy downpour.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast more rain-thunderstorm, hailstorm associated with gusty winds at scattered places of Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Peshawar, Mardan, Malakand, Hazara divisions, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir during next 12 hours.
