Punjab Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah has said that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) candidate Sardar Ayaz Sadiq clinched victory against a massive Rs 3 billion campaign by rival Aleem Khan during the NA-122 by polls.
Commenting on the results, he said that Sardar Ayaz Sadiq contested the polls against 17 political parties and by the grace of Allah emerged successful, despite all out criticism and negative propaganda from the opponents.
He said that major political forces, including Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and Sheikh Rashid’s Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) were supporting Abdul Aleem Khan. However, voters reposed their confidence in PML-N leadership and voted in favour of its candidate.
He said that the masses were well aware of their real well wishers and those making hollow claims and verbal pledges.
