The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has upheld the objections raised by registrar of the court on a petition seeking placement of super model Ayyan Ali name in ECL due to her alleged involvement in a money laundering case.

The court has ordered that all the documents be attached with the application.

A single bench of IHC led by Justice Noor ul Haq N Qureshi took up the case filed by Arshad Mehmood Butt for hearing Friday.

Raja Zahoor ul Hassan counsel for the petitioner appeared in the court.

The court maintained that the petitioner was not the aggrieved party.

Raja Zahoor ul Hassaan argued that he was aggrieved party being a Pakistani citizen as Ayyan Ali was facing the charges of money laundering. As per the secret agency letter, the money laundering related amount was used in terror acts.

The registrar of the court had raised objections that the petitioner had not presented evidence with regard to the payment of tax nor has he sent any copy of his application to FBR.
