LAHORE: Jamaatud Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed has requested Lahore High Court (LHC) to ban screening of an Indian movie, Phantom, in Pakistan, according to local media sources.

Saeed filed a petition through Advocate AK Dogar submitting that the film’s content included lies against Pakistan and the JuD, sources further revealed.

The JuD chief said the film was apparently about the 2008 Mumbai attacks and global terrorism.

He said courts in Pakistan had rejected the Indian government’s claims about JuD’s involvement in the Mumbai attacks. Justice Shahid Bilal Hassan would take up the petition on Monday (tomorrow), reportedly.
