As many as five people were killed and 10 others injured in different mishaps in the metropolis on Friday.
A man, Ahmad Shehzad, 28, son of Muhammad Ali, committed suicide by hanging himself at his home in Sector 11-J, New Karachi. The body was shifted to Godhra Muslim Hospital for an autopsy.
A man, Ajaz Ahmad, 50, son of Ahmad Zahid, was killed when a speeding vehicle hit him near Habib Chowrangi in Site area. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities.
In another incident, a man, Abdul Miskeen, 42, son of Abdul Mateen, resident of Korangi, was killed when a vehicle hit his motorcycle near Bilal Chowrangi in Korangi area.
A youth, Sheraz, 20, was killed in a road accident in Qasba 2 ½, Orangi Town. The body was shifted to ASH for a postmortem. A youth, aged about 22, was electrocuted at home during work in Kaneez Fatima, Yaro Goth in Surjani area. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities.
Meanwhile, 10 people were injured when two passenger buses collided with each other in CB Morr, Steel Mill area. All injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
