Six killed, four other injured in violence

As many as six people were killed and four others injured in separate incidents of violence on Thursday.

Moin, aged 45, son of Manzar, resident of Patel Para, was gunned down by unknown armed men in his area. The body was shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for an autopsy. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained.

In another incident, two unknown persons, aged about 28 to 30, were killed in police encounter near Gudam Chowrangi in Korangi area. The bodies were shifted to CHK for medico-legal formalities.

Muhammad Aslam, 60, son of Gulam Sarwar, residence of Qazba Colony, was gunned down by unknown armed men near a drug den in Qazba colony. The body was shifted to ASH for medico-legal formalities. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained till filling this report.

Assistant Sub Inspector Liaquat informed that Muhammad Aslam was killed in firing of unidentified accused at Qasba Colony. He hailed from Mianwali. He was an ex-FIA official.

Two men, Haji Abdullah, 70, and Haji Saeed, 40, were killed by unknown armed man in Sherpao Colony, Landhi. The bodies were shifted to JPMC for autopsies. The motive behind the killing could not be ascertained till filing of this report.

Yet in another incident, Dr Mohsin Ali, aged 30, son of Ali Akbar, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Saddar area over offering resistance to robbers. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center (JPMC) for treatment.

Separately, Kalamuddin, aged 52, son of Faqeer Muhammad, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in Behns Colony. He was rushed to JPMC for treatment. The motive behind the incident was personal enmity.

Meanwhile, Ali Khan, aged 60, son of Mobeen, was injured while sleeping on his house roof when a stray bullet hit his ribs at Umar Marvi Goth in Shah Latif Town. He was shift to JPMC for treatment.

Moreover, Riaz Khan, 25, son of Khushal Khan, was shot and injured by unknown armed men in city station area near Habib Bank Limited (HBL). The injured was rushed to CHK for medico-legal treatment.
