PESHAWAR:
Atleast two people, including a child, were injured on Wednesday by an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast that took place on Ring road in Peshawar’s Achini Bala area.
Eyewitnesses said the explosion occurred when a security forces’ convoy passed near the area. A truck was also damaged as a result of the blast.
Police cordoned off the area after the blast and initiated a probe into the incident. The casualties were shifted to a nearby hospital.
According to Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) team personnel, six to eight kilograms of explosive materials were used in the making of the IED.
