Expressing annoyance over the differences within the party ranks, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday advised the workers to prepare for general elections which he is hoping will be announced before the local body elections.
Addressing a party meeting, Khan said that the workers should start preparing for contesting the election against Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N). One out of four PML-N wickets has fallen and two more will fall within the next couple of weeks, he claimed.
Advising the PTI workers to unite, Khan said that the workers should end their differences. “Violation of discipline will now be dealt strongly. Worker will be expelled from the party after one warning,” he added.
“General elections will be held before local body elections. If we keep fighting each other, PML-N will be the beneficiary,” said Khan.
Khan said that the judicial commission’s proceedings were almost complete. “Whatever the decision will be, it will take Pakistan forward,” said Khan, adding that he was desperately waiting for NA-122 decision.
The cricketer-turned-politician’s warning to party workers comes amidst reports of bitter infighting between the rival groups in PTI led by Ejaz Chaudhry, Aleem Khan, Chaudhry Sarwar and Shafqat Mahmood, respectively.
