Three killed, three injured in violence

As many as three people were killed and three others injured in different violence incidents in the metropolis on Thursday.

According to rescue sources, a man suffered serious injuries when he was attacked with knife by unidentified persons near Korangi Crossing area. He died on his way to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre. The victim was identified as Abdul Ghafoor, 55, son of Allah Dino. Separately, an unidentified man, aged about 30, was found strangulated to death from Gulshan-e-Maymar area. The body was shifted to a mortuary of Super Highway. A rescue source said that a 30-year-old woman, Humaira, wife of Arif, got knife injury by an unknown man in Afshani Gali, Lyari. She was rushed to Civil Hospital Karachi for treatment.

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy, Umar, son of Saeed, was injured in firing by unidentified armed men in Muhammadpur area of the metropolis. He was shifted to AbbasiShaheedHospital for treatment.

In another incident, an unidentified man, aged about 35, was found strangulated to death from the bus in Industrial area on Super Highway. According to rescue sources, the body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital (ASH) for medico-legal formalities. Yet in another incident, a man, identified as Haroon, 40 son of Yousuf, was shot at and injured by unknown armed men in Faqeer Colony, OrangiTown. He was brought to ASH for treatment.
