As many as 100 suspects including Afghan nationals were arrested and arms seized during search operations in different areas of the city on Sunday
The police conducted target search operation against the outlaws in Gulberg, Nothia, Bara Road, Saddar Bazaar and Pishtakhara areas of the provincial capital. The police during search operations checked the CNICs and other documents of the residents and other people in the said areas.
Police detained 100 suspects including 25 Afghan nationals besides recovering weapons including pistols, rifles and hundreds of rounds from their possession.
Separate cases have been registered against the detainees at concerned police stations and they were being interrogated.
Police said that they have also busted a three-member gang of dacoits operating in the city.
