Vishal Bhardwaj’s National Award winning film Haider has topped at the International Indian Film Awards (IIFA) by grabbing six technical awards out of eight nominations.
The IIFA announced the list of winners of the technical categories of India’s most prestigious international awards and Vishal third Shakespearean adaptaion Hamlet, starring Shahid Kapoor in the lead role of Haider, was awarded in six categories including Costume Designing, Background Score, Sound Mixing, Sound Design, Production Design and Make-up.
Queen grabbed two awards for Screenplay and Editing, and Salman Khan-starrer Kick was honoured for the Choreography and Special Effects Visual award.
Shraddha Kapoor-Sidharth Malhotra-starrer Ek Villian won an award for Song Recording while Amir Khan’s PK got Best Dialogue award. Chetan Bhagat’s screen adaptation 2 States, starring Alia Bhatt and Arjun Kapoor, walked away with an honor for Cinematography and Hrithik Roshan-Katrina Kaif-starrer Bang Bang took home an accolade for Best Action.
International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards will be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from June 5-7.
