All Parties Conference held on Sunday at the Municipal lawn discussed the single issue of unprecedented electricity load shedding which lasts 16-hours, and is hitting people hard.
The leaders decided to adopt a resistance policy and seek their basic rights through the force of the people. PPP-SB, PML-N, JSQM, Mazoor Ittehad, Sindh Graduates Association, JUI-Fazal, TNFJ, Sindhi Adabi Sangat, Awami Tehreek, Kiryana Merchants Association, Tailor Masters Association, Tehreek Insaf and others, took part in the conference.
Addressing the participants, PPP-SB leader Ghulam Hyder Narejo and others said that PPP and PML-N were busy in saving each other through reconciliation and they had left the citizens of Naundero on their own as though they were orphans. The participants expressed their final decision that they will not be part of this so-called reconciliation. They vowed to offer resistance to any move that will deprive them of their basic rights, including power supply.
The leaders said that every month three to four million rupees are collected from illegal power connection holders by SEPCO officials but this money is not deposited in the government account as it is kept in the pockets of the corrupt mafia of local SEPCO authorities who have been posted here since very long.
The leaders unanimously resolved to give their charter of demands to SEPCO authorities and said that if they failed to approve these demands March 2, 2015, all roads leading to Naundero and Garhi Khuda Bux will be blocked, protests will be held, strikes will be observed and sit-ins will also be stage, on all the main thoroughfares leading to these specified areas and it will continue till their demands are accepted. The participants included Ghulam Hussain Katpar, Javed Bhutto, Abdul Khaliq Bhutto, Sahab Khan Shaikh, Amanullah Bhutto, Manzoor Mirani, Naeem Bhutto and Maulana Qudoos Panhwar.
