Deputy Attorney General (DAG) Barrister Jahangir Jadoon will submit a written report, detailing cases registered against Mumbai attacks suspect Zakiur Rehaman Lakhvi in provinces, in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday (today).

During the last hearing, the prosecution counsel had sought time from the court to furnish details of cases registered against the suspects in different police stations in the country.

The IHC single-bench headed by Justice Noorul Haq N Qurehsi will take up the case titled Lakhvi versus home secretary.

The DAP will represent the state while Rizwan Abbasi will appear on behalf of the suspect, who has been put in jail under the Maintenance of Public Order (MPO) after he was given bail by a trial court in Rawalpindi last month.

During the last hearing, the suspect’s counsel had pleaded the court to issue directives to the prosecution to furnish details of the cases which have been registered against his client in different provinces, however, the state counsel had sought time, requesting that provincials home secretaries had not replied to his request for the same.
