Former Punjab governor Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar on Saturday said that the 17-month-long governorship was the most ‘painful’ period of his life.

Addressing a ceremony, Chaudhry Sarwar said that corruption has permeated into politicians and its cure is only possible through a surgical operation, “not by aspirin”.

He regretted that he could not help the needy during his governorship, despite a strong will to do that. Sarwar said that the current government seems to have failed in resolving public issues.

“The government, which could not perform in a hundred days, can turn no stones in its five years tenure,” he added.

  1. Ch. Sarwar had ambitions to play an active role. So he used Mian brotheraan as first ladder step. Man seems to be very clever but shall not be successful by joining PTI. Very soon he shall be tired off the Imran's dictatorial powers and men around Imran are too clever to bring any good for the party. Like any other party Imrans effort is to bring the "bin bags" of other parties in PTI. Ultimately these bin bags would not let him work efficiently as they have been doing in other parties. Only way is to work at grass root level and prepair a new young force for the revolution that can peacefully evolute the system towards better life for all.
