The newly-elected leadership of Akhbar Farosh Union Sunday has demanded a new building for the Akhbar Market as structure of the existing building was in poor condition.

The demand was made at the oath taking ceremony of President-elect Chaudhry Nazeer Ahmed, general secretary Babar Yaseen and six other members of the union. They said that the capacity of the existing structure was also limited in view of the manifold increase in the number of publications.

Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Siddiqul Farooq administered the oath and promised to provide new space from the ETPB properties but asked the union to identify a proper place for the purpose.
