DCO trying fuel reaches consumers

The district administration has monitored the supply and sale of petrol in all fuel stations of the metropolitan through the established control room at District Coordination Officer (DCO) office, said DCO Captain (r) Muhammad Usman while addressing a press briefing about the functionality of control room and the current situation of fuel in the city. ADCR Irfan Nawaz Memon, Punjab Assembly Member (MPA) Main Naseer and other officials were present on the occasion.

The DCO said that representatives of different oil companies were present in the control room around the clock and they had been coordinating at Machikey Oil Depot for supply in all pumps of the city.

Similarly, officials deployed at fuel pumps were ensuring that the same supply would be sold completely. The DCO said that the district administration had set four squads to trace out the people dealing in the business of loose petrol sale, which remained in field. The squads patrolled in Shadbagh, Ferozpur road, Baghbanpura, Gujjar Pura and surrounding localities. He said that CDGL had also marked 11 petrol pumps which will ensure regular supply of petrol to emergency vehicles on priority basis.
