The police Thursday arrested two people stated to be brothers for attacking a polio vaccination team in Muzaffargarh.
The incident took place in village Rampur of Tehsil Jatoi in Muzaffargarh where two accused attacked a polio immunisation team after the team insisted that the villagers vaccinate their children.
The polio reached the scene soon after the incident and arrested the accused.
In the preliminary interrogation, the detained culprits revealed that they had repeatedly forbidden the vaccination teams from visiting the area but the team came to the village nevertheless, which led to the dispute.
A case has been registered against the detainees and further investigation is in progress.
