Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) chief Sirajul Haq has declared the issuance of warrants against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan, Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) chief Tahirul Qadri, Khyber Pakhunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak, Awami Muslim League Sheikh Rashid and others as a non-political move.
In a statement issued on Thursday, Haq warned that warrants would add fuel to the fire in the prevailing situation. He said that these cases should be dropped altogether in order to promote national reconciliation.
The JI chief urged the government to show prudence and try to resolve the crisis instead of worsening the situation by creating bitterness.
