Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) on Tuesday said that a new spell of monsoon was likely to start in next 24 hours.
The PMD forecasts rain/thundershower in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Kashmir, parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Mirpurkhas, Karachi and Hyderabad during the monsoon spell which is likely to continue till Friday.
Moderate monsoon currents from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are penetrating into upper parts of the country, the PMD said. The rains will minimise the temperature besides increasing water reservoirs.
