Panic grips city after killing of ASWJ activist

Tension prevailed in parts of the city after killing of an Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (AWSJ) activist on Wednesday, while a target killer allegedly involved in 100 target killings was arrested.
According to police, the areas, including Patel Para, Guru Mandir, Lasbela, remained tense as angry people blocked the road and pelted vehicles with stones.
The AWSJ activist was killed in an alleged encounter.
The police started firing in the air to disperse the protesters.
Meanwhile, the intelligence agencies have captured a professional killer, involved in target killings of 100 persons, with his two aides in Karachi.
The captured target killer, Umair alias Jabbar, belongs to a political party and he was leading a gang of dangerous target killers in the city, police sources said.
Umair and his gangsters were involved in over hundred target killings of local people in the city, police said.
The police revealed that the target killer, Umair, has confessed to killing politicians, clerics and police officials. The agencies have started interrogation after shifting him to an undisclosed place.
