Professor Ibrahim, member of Taliban-proposed dialogue committee and leader of Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) on Wednesday called for an end to the deadlock between the government and Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan over peace talks after a TTP claimed killing 23 soldiers of Frontier Constabulary (FC) on Monday.
“The two sides must resume their contacts as restoration of peace is impossible without it,” said the JI leader.
He confirmed that an impasse has been reached between the two committee but said “we can find the way out if the government side contacted”
“I appeal both government and Taliban to take the decisions with wisdom,” he added.
Moreover, Rahimullah Yousufzai, member of the government appointed committee said that the government has not completely suspended the negotiation process, but admitted the deadlock in talks.
Speaking to a TV channel, Yousafzai that a ceasefire has not been reached so far as many of the Taliban groups are out of TTP leadership’s control, and its shura is yet to inform us about the final decision in this regard.”
Clearly there must be a ceasefire by the TTP…any continued violence cannot be acceptable to the government…if the terrorist are so disorganized that they cannot control some factions then they are not qualified to negotiate with government and should just be attacked and eliminated…the government cannot allow continued violence together with peace talks…and if the Terrorist cannot deliver a simple ceasefire then further negotiations with them are futile anyway….
what peace talk? how many more they want to slaughter forget killing?
