Investigation in to the suicide attack that killed Crime Investigation Department (CID) Superintendent of Police Chaudhry Aslam was transferred to the CID on Wednesday.
According to the police, the case was high profile and included sections of anti-terrorism act and was therefore transferred to CID. DIG CID will appoint an officer to carry out the investigations.
Aslam was killed along with two guards on January 9 in a suspected suicide bombing on Lyari Expressway. The alleged bomber, later identified as Naeemullah crashed an explosives-laden vehicle into the SP’s car.
