An accountability court postponed the indictment of former prime minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in Rental Power Projects (RPP) case on Friday and adjourned hearing till January 17.

Raja Pervaiz Ashraf was present in the court during hearing of the RPP case.

Pervez Ashraf’s counsel Farooq H Naek argued before the court that his client has nothing to do with the corruption in rental power projects. He said that the two co-accused have taken stay order from the Lahore High Court (LHC).

The court after arguments of the defence lawyer granted National Accountability Bureau (NAB) time till January 17, to delete names of the unconcerned persons from the reference.

The court adjourned the hearing till January 17.
