Minister believes Sasta Sahulat Bazars helped in controlling price hike

Sasta Sahulat Bazars have helped in controlling price hike and providing relief to the citizens in Punjab said Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Sheikh Aftab.

The minister said solid steps taken on the special directives of Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif to check price hike and profiteering benefited the people.

On account of such steps, masses are able to purchase commodities of daily use on proper rates, he added.

Aftab said that steps taken by Punjab government including monitoring of prices, checking and raids by the teams under the supervision of officers of local administration and price control magistrates in the light of the directions of Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif for maintaining prices on adequate level are yielding results.

He said Pakistan Muslim League – Nawaz (PML-N) governments at federal and provincial level are working under a comprehensive strategy for revival and strengthening of economy.

In near future, stability would be seen in prices particularly of edibles in result of overall stability and improvement in economy of the country, he added.

He said that MNAs, MPAs and public representatives were visiting Sasta Sahulat Bazars and wholesale markets of vegetables, fruits and grains and profiteering and price hike was being checked and prevented through monitoring of rates.

The chief minister had asked MNAs and MPAs of all districts to visit Sasta Sahulat Bazars and wholesale markets of vegetables and fruits for monitoring the prices especially of daily use items, he added.

He said that no one would be allowed to charge exorbitant rates and more than fixed prices and indulge in undue profiteering and hoarding.
