Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) President Makhdoom Javed Hashmi has said that access to European Union (EU) markets will help Pakistan in economic and industrial development.
Talking to journalists outside the Parliament House on Friday, Hashmi said that awarding of GSP Plus status to Pakistan shows the EU trust in Pakistani products. He lauded the scheme and said that it will help Pakistani industry to stand on its feet.
The PTI leader said that GSP Plus status will generate new employment opportunities besides strengthening the economy of the country.
He said if the government instead of taking the advantage of the GPS Plus status engaged in the issue of ‘favour and un-favour’ then the scheme will lose its credibility, he warned.
Hashmi stressed the government to provide opportunities to European investors and increase the exports of the country rather following the policy of rewarding chosen people.
