Mixed price trend witnessed this Sunday in make shift markets of the city. Relatively brisk business activities were recorded this week again. Shortage of many essential vegetables including onion, ginger continued and it was missing in almost all Sunday bazaars. However, the tomato stalls remained the center of attraction for buyers because of their fixed rate Rs 110 per kg.
In Shalimar, Taj Pura, GreenTown and Shahdara, Sunday bazaars vendors were selling lower quality and rotten fruits and vegetables at higher rates.
Potato new price reached at Rs 50 to 55 per kg and it was sold at Rs 45 per kg. Onion price was further increased by Rs 1 per kg and good quality of onion was sold at Rs 65 to 70 per kg.
Tomato price was fixed at Rs 110 to 112 per kg while better quality was sold at Rs 130 per kg. Garlic China was increased by Rs 2 per kg and fixed at Rs 110 to 112 per kg and garlic desi sold at Rs 125 per kg.
Ginger China was further gained by Rs 1 per kg and fixed at Rs 200 to 210 per kg and ginger Burma was fixed at Rs 120 to 125 per kg. Spinach was sold at Rs 20 per kg. Brinjal price was gained by Rs 6 per kg. Cabbage was sold at fixed rate of Rs 40 per kg and cauliflower was sold at Rs 50 per kg.
The price of Bitergourd desi was fixed at Rs 70 to 80 per kg and it was sold at Rs 80 per kg. Tinday rate was enhanced by Rs 10 per kg and sold at Rs 100 per kg. Pumpkin price was further gained by Rs 1 per kg and fixed at Rs 46 to 56 per kg and sold at Rs 61 per kg.
The rates of different varieties of apple were fixed at Rs 50 to 90 per kg while B grade was sold at Rs 60 to 80 per kg in makeshift markets. Banana was fixed at Rs 40 to 50 per dozen and lower quality was sold at Rs 60 per dozen. Pomegranate desi was fixed at Rs 60 to 65 per kg and sold up-to Rs 80 per kg.
Grapes Sundarkhani was fixed at Rs 180 to 190 per kg was sold at Rs 210 to 230 per kg and grapes gola was sold at Rs 150 per kg. Grape fruit was fixed at Rs 8 to 10 per piece and lower quality was sold at Rs 15 to 20 per piece.
