Lawyers on Friday tortured a man accused of kidnapping in court premises after an exchange of hot words.
According to details, a resident of Girjaghar from Gujranwala suburbs registered a case regarding kidnapping of his daughter against Ramail. The court extended the pre-arrest bail of the accused to Friday. Ramail exchanged hot words with the petitioner’s lawyer after leaving the courtroom. The lawyer started beating him and was joined in by other lawyers but was rescued with the intervention of the police.
The incident drew criticism from the public for taking the law into their hands and beating the accused despite the court’s decision of extending his bail. They also urged the authorities to take notice of the incident and take action against those responsible.
