Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Director General Mian Riaz Ahmad stated this while talking to a Chinese delegate Reng Shu Hui of a Chinese company Shun Da Cashmere, who met him at TDAP’s Lahore office on Monday.

The DG apprised Reng Shu about the efforts which the TDAP was making for the promotion of trade in the country.

Reng discussed the matters pertaining to the promotion and enhancement of leather and goat hair export to China.

“We will like to set up a plant through joint venture in Pakistan with the purpose for better process and refining of the leather and goat hair so that it may be exported to China in a refined form,” Reng said and hoped that with the assistance of the government of Pakistan, the plant would enable the Pakistani leather industry to produce more refined products.

The DG assured the visiting delegate of TDAP’s support and promised to take up their issue with the higher authorities.
