At least 10 lives were claimed by dengue in Karachi while more than 800 cases have so far been confirmed in the Sindh province. According to details, around 30-35 people are being admitted to hospitals with symptoms of dengue fever on a daily basis. The authorities have claimed that the situation is under control, stating that fumigation is being carried out on priority basis to curb the spread of dengue. Meanwhile, the Karachi exective district officer of health said that the most affected areas include JamshedTown, Orangi, North Karachi, North Nazimabad, Landhi and SadarTown. The surge in the dengue cases is linked to torrential rains and accumulated water following rains.
