The prices of petroleum products are likely to be jacked up by Rs 4 per litre from September 1.
Per media reports, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) will send a summary on the enhancement of prices of petroleum products to the Petroleum Ministry on August, 29 through which recommendations will be made to increase the price of petrol by Rs 3 per litre, kerosene oil by Rs 3.15 per litre, High Octane by Rs 4 per litre, high speed diesel by Rs 2.40 per litre and light diesel to be increased by Rs 1.80 per litre.
Following the approval of this summary, the prices of petroleum products would be likely to be increased from September 1.
