Tarnol Police Islamabad have arrested five persons including three women involved in stealing valuables after getting employment at houses for domestic work.
The police spokesman said, complaints were received from various areas regarding ransacking of houses by housemaids stealing valuables from their employers’ homes. Following these complaints, SP (Saddar) Jameel Hashmi constituted a special team to curb such activities under the supervision of DSP Habib Ullah Niazi.
The team including Sub-Inspectors Abdul Sattar Beg, Haibat Ullah and others traced the perpetrators and arrested Sumera, Kausar, Munawar, Farooq and Shehzad.
During preliminary investigations they confessed to their crime in different areas of Islamabad, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. Police team also recovered gold ornaments, a car, a bike and property worth Rs 35,00,000 from them. Islamabad police have appealed to the citizens to verify the credentials of domestics servants before hiring.
Meanwhile, Tarnol Police also arrested three persons identified as Mehrban, Mohsin and Liaqat for allegedly firing and killing Kamir Shehzad and Muhammad Saeed over a land dispute in Nogazi area.
IGP Islamabad Sikandar Hayat and SSP Islamabad Muhammad Rizwan has appreciated the performance of Tarnol Police team and directed all officials to ensure effective crackdown against criminals in their areas.
