CAA involved in heroin smuggling?

A heroin smuggler during his arrest at the Allama Iqbal International Airport on Friday claimed that he worked in connivance with a Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) personnel.
Masood confessed of CAA General Service Attendant Nasir’s involvement in smuggling during the course of initial investigation after his arrest. He was arrested by the Anti Narcotics Force (ANF) officials at the city’s airport while he was attempting to smuggle 3 kilogrammes of heroin to Qatar. ANF officials had recovered the heroin hidden in his shoes. The ANF has handed both the suspects to custom officials for further interrogation.
KAHNA POLICE IN ACTION: Kahna Police arrested two men of a gang and recovered cash besides seizing illegal weapons. Model Town SP constituted a special police under the supervision of the Kahna SHO which arrested Nabeel, ring leader of Joori dacoit gang and his accomplice Umair. The police also recovered Rs 240,000 in cash, valuables and illegal weapons from them. During the preliminary interrogation, the accused confessed of robberies in different areas of the city including Kahna, Sattu Katla and Green Town.
CIA ARRESTS SIX: The Crime Investigation Agency (CIA) police on Friday claimed to have arrested six robbers and seized looted cash and illicit weapons. According to the police, a special team of CIA Cantonment North Division Police arrested six men and recovered looted cash Rs 688,000, prize bonds worth Rs 10,000, cell phones and illegal weapons.
COPS THRASH DAEWOO’S DRIVER: Three constables of the Mujahid Squad tortured a Daewoo Bus Service’s driver on Friday. Source reported that the three officials of the Mujahid Squad tried to stop the bus of route number five and tortured the driver, Aslam, for failing to stop the bus on their orders. After the incident, passengers of the bus caught one constable, Asghar Ali, and handed him over to the police, while the other two constables managed to escape.
TWO MINOR GIRLS RAPED: The police arrested two criminals involved in the rape of two girls, in different incidents on Friday. Ayesha (10) went to a shop to buy some household goods, when Akbar (25) forcibly took her to his house and raped her. The police reached the spot and arrested the Akbar. Baghbanpura Police registered an FIR against him for further investigation. In another incident, a six-year- old girl, Sawera, was raped by a man named Yasin (65) in Hadyara area. The police arrested Yasin for further investigation.
RS 25M GAS THEFT UNVEILED IN SHAHDARA: The Sui gas authorities on Friday sealed two factories involved in gas theft besides registering separate cases against the owners. According to details, the district government and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL), on a tip-off, raided the factories located in Shahdara area engaged in manufacturing plastic shopping bags. During the raid, it was found that the factories, in addition to gas theft, were also supplying gas to the surrounding houses. The factories were sealed and an accused identified as Shahid alias Heera, was arrested while his accomplice managed to escape. The police registered cases against the factory owners.
