The United Nations humanitarian chief has announced the allocation of some 72 million dollars from an emergency fund to assist people in neglected crises in 12 countries including Pakistan.
The Under Secretary General for Humanitarian Affairs‚ Valerie Amos‚ said this money would save lives of millions of people by ensuring that humanitarian organisations could continue to support the most vulnerable men‚ women and children caught in the midst of devastating disasters and conflicts.
The United Nations will provide 10 million dollars fund to support vital humanitarian aid in Pakistan.
