It is a sorry state of affairs that the central jail Adiala is facing acute water shortage as well as prolonged power cuts. In view of this, the jail inmate’s complaint that all barracks of jails have not a single drops of water for drinking and even no water in washrooms. Inmates have complained that there is no power the whole night in jails and they are spending sleepless nights. Scores of jail inmates fell unconscious on account of prolong power outage. Meanwhile, the jail detainees also demanded from IG jail and Federal Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif to take immediate action against this severe issue so that the jail inmates would get some relief.
