There would have been no load shedding in the country if opponents had not obstructed the completion of power generation projects initiated by Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Shaheed during her ruling period, said PPP Lahore President Samina Khalid Ghurki and PPP Information Secretary Abid Hussain Siddiqui in their joint statement on Friday.
They said that some parties which were seeking votes from the people on promise to end load shedding were responsible for the recent energy crises. They claimed people would reject those who had connections with dictator Zia-ul-Haq, adding that PPP would win the elections with the support of masses.
