Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Monday pledged that after coming into power his party will rid the country from “slavery” of the United States (US), adding that there will be no more begging for aid.
Addressing different public meetings in Malakand, Lower Dir and Upper Dir, the PTI chief said after coming into power measures will be taken to modernise Malakand and Dir, bringing these regions at par with other developed parts of the country. He said PTI is set to sweep polls, adding that the people will celebrate “independence from looters” on the evening of May 11, 2013.
He said even if all political rivals join hands, they will still be unable to block PTI’s way. Khan also warned against “fixing” the upcoming general elections
Khan stated he will never betray the nation and will not make hollow slogans like Shahbaz Sharif and will always be honest with his countrymen.
Khan also stated his party would make the country self-reliant and sovereign if elected to power.
He said the manifesto of PTI was similar to the objective of Pakistan. Khan went on to say that PTI is the first political party in Pakistan that conducted intra-party polls, awarded 80 percent of all tickets on recommendations of party organisations and fielded 35 percent youth candidates for elections.
He further said PTI will introduce a uniform education system where the children of rich and poor will study together and have equal opportunities. He urged the people to vote for PTI if they really wanted to change their lives.
The public meetings were attended by mammoth, energetic crowds including youths and women. The central and provincial leadership of the party and the ticket holding candidates also addressed the crowd.
Well said Imran. Atleast your message is loud and crystal clear. i sincerely hope the people of pakistan are not stone deaf. For once there is hope for change but please stop putting time limits. These will come to haunt you. No nation can be a slave unless it chooses to be. We are 180 million plus and have diginity and pride and not for sale!
