The Punjab University is organising a three-day book fair at its New Campus from March 28, to provide latest books on all subjects to students at a special discount of up to 40 percent on its original price. PU Chief Librarian Chaudhary Muhammad Hanif said that 8 different committees, each headed by a dean, have been constituted by the PU VC Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran for holding the fair in a better way. He said all leading publishers from across the country would take part in the exhibition. He said that CDs and computer gadgets will also be available at affordable prices. He added that 130,000 books of different subjects were sold in 3-day during the last book fair. He said at least 150 stalls will be set up in the upcoming book fair.

  1. The book fair should be held twice a year, once in March and again in October (after admissions are over).
Secondly, the book fair should be for five days so that more people may visit and buy more books.
