Dr Hyder’s Chehlum held

Rasm-e-Chehlm of renowned eye specialist Dr Ali Hyder who was assassinated along with his son by unidentified motorcyclists last month in Gulberg, was held at Jamea Masjid Muhammadi, Gulberg on Sunday. Several doctors wearing black ribbons on their shoulders and people belonging to all walks of life including serving and retired professors and others health-related dignitaries were present on the occasion. The participants offered fatiha and Quran Khawani for the eternal peace of the departed soul. Talking on this occasion PGMI and LGH Principal Prof Anjaum Habib Vohra said that Dr Ali Hyder served the ailing humanity with great dedication and he was a great philanthropist in addition to being one of the country’s best eye surgeons. The participants expressed hope that the Punjab government would arrest the culprits soon in order to redress the grief of the family of the martyred doctor.
